At the end of the third quarter of 2013, the entities that finance housing presented a balance of total capital of $35.213 billion mortgage portfolio.

The National Administrative Department of statistics, Dane, revealed how were housing loans during the period between July and September.

The total capital balance was $24.889 million earmarked for the financing of housing type not VIS and $10.325 million for the financing of housing type VIS, VIS capital balance $1.913 million belong to the portfolio of housing type VIP until 70 legal monthly minimum wages in force.

In the third quarter of 2013, the value of the balance of $33.375 million capital corresponds to existing portfolio and $1839 billion current pesos to nonperforming loans of five or more installments in arrears.

The distribution of the balance of total by funding housing entities capital was: 80.2% corresponding to credit establishments, 12.8% of the Fondo Nacional de Ahorro, 5.2% of unions, employees and housing funds, 1.4% other collectors of portfolio and 0,4% of family compensation.

The entities that finance housing in the country closed with a capital of $1.076.240 million of pesos currents in mora of an or more quotas, what represented a reduction of 6.6% in comparison with the quarter immediately previous.

Comparing the third quarter of 2013 with the same period in 2012, the categories of fees in arrears that increase were: capital between 7 and 12 installments in arrears 7.1% and between 3 and 4 installments in arrears 5.7%, otherwise presented the capital won in the categories, greater than 12 installments in arrears (- 6.5%); between 5 and 6 installments in arrears (- 2.3%) and between 1 and 2 fees in arrears (- 1.5%).

In the third quarter of 2013, housing mortgage portfolio was made up of 403.746 credits destined to housing type not VIS, which meant an increase of 2.7% compared to the previous quarter; compared with the second quarter of 2013, the number of loans destined for VIS was 502.711, which represented an increase of 0.5%, of this number of credits 155.839 were for the VIP destination, with an increase of 13.2%.

During the third quarter of 2013, the number of credits of housing mortgage portfolio presented an increase of 4.8% compared with the same period in 2012, passing 864.779 credit 906.457 loans for the third quarter of the year 2013.

Comparing the third quarter of 2013 with the same period in 2012, the number of mortgage loans not VIS increased 6.1% and the number of mortgage loans VIS showed an increase of 3.8%.

In the same period, the number of mortgages showed increase in funding institutions follows: the Fondo Nacional de Ahorro 7.9%; Credit 5.2% of establishments; Cooperatives, employees and housing funds 1.7% and 0.5% family compensation funds. On the other hand, registered one negative variation other collectors of portfolio with 21.8%.
